The purpose of the Phase 2 pilot project is to verify the CO2 injectivity and storage abilities of the reservoir. The first generation injectivity tests will use water as a medium with tracers added. The injectivity tests will be performed over a 2-3 year period.

The tests and analyzes performed during Phase 2 will determine the porosity and permeability levels at the various segments of the reservoir and there by determine the geometry and the storage abilities of the reservoir.

In this phase, the project will also perform laboratory level CO2 injection, using the core samples from the drill holes.
